1. Michigan

Michigan’s online casinos edged out New Jersey’s again for the month. The Great Lakes State also set another revenue record in November, generating $226 million compared to last year’s $175.3 million and beating the record set in October of this year of $220.7 million.

The 15 igaming operators paid a total of $42.5 million in taxes compared to $32.9 million in November 2023, with $10.6 million going to the city of Detroit, $5.2 million to the tribal governments, and the rest, $26.7 million, to the state.

2. New Jersey

In November, igaming revenue in New Jersey set a new all-time record of $214 million, just under 25% higher than the $171.6 million in November 2023 and just under a half-million more than the previous record of $213.6 million set in October of this year. With one reporting month to go in 2024, online gambling has posted gross revenue of $2.2 billion compared to last year’s $1.74 billion.

As usual, Golden Nugget led the igaming pack with revenue of $65.2 million compared to $50.1 million year over year. BetMGM/Borgata jumped to second place in November with $43.4 million compared to $37.9 million and DraftKings/Resorts fell to third with $49 million compared to $47.2 million.

New Jersey earned $32.2 million in taxes from igaming, more than half of the state’s total gambling taxes for the month ($61.9 million). Last year’s online-gambling tax haul was $25.7 million.

3. Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania’s igaming revenue in November was $200.4 million, a new monthly record and the first time the state’s online casinos generated more than $200 million in a single month. That compares to November 2023’s $191.9 million, the first time that the Keystone State breached the $190 million mark.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course continued to hold its perch at the top of the list with a gross of $74.4 million compared to $73.1 million year over year, while second-place Valley Forge earned $54.1 million compared to $50.1 million.

Pennsylvania collected $88.6 million in taxes compared to last year’s $66.8 million.

4. Connecticut

The Constitution State generated $41.3 million in online-gambling revenue in November compared to $32.7 million year over year. The Mashantucket Pequots (DraftKings) accounted for $21.1 million, while Mohegan Sun (FanDuel) came in with the other $20.2 million.

Connecticut collected $7.4 million in taxes compared to $5.8 million in November 2023.

5. West Virginia

The Mountain State’s igaming revenue for November totaled $23.4 million compared to $13.9 million in 2023. It was less than $100,000 shy of the record set in October.

6. Delaware

Delaware’s November igaming revenue was $6.2 million, as Rush Street Interactive’s numbers continue to climb from the paltry $1.1 million generated by 888 in November 2023.

Online video lottery (slot) games once again accounted for the lion’s share of income at $4 million, while table games generated the other $2.2 million. Online poker still hasn’t returned from the changeover of operators on January 1.

7. Rhode Island

Rhode Island’s igaming revenue, monopolized by Bally’s, generated $2.7 million in November, down $400,000 from October. (Rhode Island reports in the first week of the second month, so November’s number will show up in January). That brought November’s total igaming revenue in the seven states to $714 million.
