Total igaming revenue for November 2023 in Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, Connecticut, West Virginia, and Delaware added up to $586.5 million, a year-over-year increase of 23.5%.

1. Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania’s igaming revenue in November was $191.9 million, the first time that any state with online casinos breached the $190 million mark. It was also the third month in a row that Pennsylvania outpaced the other igaming states, setting all-time records in both September at $187.3 million and October at $186.9 million. At this rate, the state will eclipse the $200 million mark faster than anyone has ever anticipated. Year over year, it was a 39.4% increase over $128.7 million in 2022.

Hollywood Penn National Gaming continues to hold its perch at the top of the list with a gross of $73.1 million compared to November 2022’s $55.7 million, up 27%, while second-place Valley Forge earned $50.1 million.

Pennsylvania collected $66.8 million in taxes in November compared to last year’s $53.5 million (22.1%).

2. Michigan

Michigan’s online casinos edged out New Jersey’s again for the month. The Great Lakes State also set yet another revenue record in November, generating $175.3 million, beating the $171.8 million recorded in March 2023.

The 15 igaming operators paid a total of $32.9 million in taxes, with $8.2 million going to the city of Detroit, $4.1 million to the tribal governments, and the rest, $20.6 million, to the state.

3. New Jersey

For the month of November 2023, the igaming win in the Garden State was $171.6 million, reflecting growth of 17.4% compared to the $146.2 million year over year. With one reporting month to go in 2023, online gambling has posted gross revenue of $1.74 billion compared to last year’s $1.51 billion.

Once again, Golden Nugget led the igaming pack with revenue of $50.1 million, a major 33% increase over last year’s $37.7 million. Resorts Digital was a close second with $47.2 million, trailed by the fading Borgata/BetMGM at $37.9 million, nearly 15% below last November’s total.

New Jersey collected $25.7 million in online-gambling taxes in November compared to $21.7 million in November 2022, a 16.9% increase.

4. Connecticut

The Constitution State generated $32.7 million in online-gambling revenue in November, an increase of 12.7% over last November’s $28.8 million.

The Mashantucket Pequots (DraftKings) accounted for $19.4 million, while Mohegan Sun (FanDuel) came in with the other $13 million.

Connecticut collected $5.8 million in taxes, 39.2% higher than last year’s $28.8 million.

5. West Virginia

The Mountain State’s igaming revenue for November was at $13.9 million, a decrease from last month’s record of $15.1 million, but a year-over-year increase of 5.2%. The reporting periods, 28 days this year and 29 last, are commsurate.

6. Delaware

Delaware’s November igaming revenue of $1.1 million was a 20% increase over last November’s $900,417.

Online video lottery (slot) games once again accounted for the lion’s share of income at $900,417, an increase of 11.8%, while table games generated $188,050 $149,433, up a major 23.1%. Online poker revenue continues its slide with $27,170 for the month, down 23.5% from last year’s $34,318.
