South Dakota: Deadwood casino revenue up 9% year-over-year in April

Deadwood casinos showed a 9% rise year-over-year in its adjusted gross revenue for April, increasing from $10.7 million to $11.7 million.

Figures from the city’s 22 casinos published by the South Dakota Department of Revenue showed that statistical win for slots was up 3.1% to $11 million from $10.1 million and for table games was up 1.4% to $1.21 million from $1.19 million. Sportsbooks reported a statistical win of $51,819 this April compared to a statistical loss of $11,700 a year ago.

Casinos paid $1,1 million in taxes in April,  with 40% of it earmarked for tourism.
