Sports betting technology company Simplebet has promoted Vice President of Product Andre Bessette to chief product officer.

Founded in 2018 with the goal of “making any real-time bet possible,” Simplebet is a business-to-business product development company specializing in sports betting solutions. Its partners include DraftKings, bet365, Caesars and Hard Rock Digital.

Bessette joined Simplebet in 2019 as director of product and was promoted to vice president of product in January 2022. Before joining Simplebet, he was manager of analytics at DraftKings and a senior business analyst at Capital One, overseeing reward redemption data and conversion rates.

“Andre has played a key role at Simplebet for the last five years and we are delighted to appoint him as chief product officer,” said Mark Nerenberg, Simplebet chief operating officer. “We have ambitious plans to expand our offerings over the next 12-18 months, and promoting Andre to CPO shows our commitment to winning with product, technology, and innovation.”

Bessette will lead the company’s product division with the aim of expanding the in-play and micro-betting markets and take responsibility for managing operations and partnerships and driving product innovation.

“I’m thrilled to be appointed chief product officer here at Simplebet, where we have already enjoyed a fantastic five years of growth and groundbreaking new product launches,” Bessette said. “The development of our live betting products is something that we’ve only scratched the surface of with our micro market leadership.”

Simplebet recently announced that it has partnered with Caesars Sportsbook to bring hockey fans nine new in-play betting markets for the NHL’s postseason.

“It’s an exciting time to expand that live betting leadership to new product lines and give sports bettors the top-tier live betting experience that has been lacking to date in the U.S. market,” Bessette said.
