LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) – Rhode Island’s Twin River Casino says it’s planning to hire 90 new workers to support the addition of 14 more gambling tables.
The casino’s hiring plans were announced Wednesday and come after the state granted its request to increase its number of table games from 66 to 80.
Twin River began offering table games like roulette and blackjack in June. Twin River chairman John Taylor says interest in the new games has exceeded expectations.
The expansion will entail $1 million in renovations at the Lincoln facility.
