LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) – Rhode Island State Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Twin River Casino – the latest in a string of crimes at the Lincoln facility.
Maj. Joseph Philbin says a woman with what appeared to be gun approached a man on Tuesday night and tried to steal his wallet.
Police say she took off empty handed when the man reached for the gun. She is still at large.
The incident comes after the casino said earlier this month it plans to review security procedures after two people were recently assaulted and robbed. Tires were slashed on 13 cars in February.
