Rhode Island’s two casinos generated $55 million in revenue for April, up 5.5%, despite competition from a new tribal casino just across the border in Massachusetts.
The figures, published by the Rhode Island Lottery, show that slots contributed most of that total, at $44.6 million, up 3.5%, while table games posted a year-over-year increase of 15% to $10.4 million.
Both of the two Bally’s properties recorded year-over-year revenue increases last month.
Bally’s Twin River recorded $41.9 million, up 6.5%, while Bally’s Tiverton generated $13.1 million, up 2.2%.
Bally’s Twin River also led the way in the slots and table games segments. The venue generated $33.4 million in slots revenue, up 4% year-over-year, and saw table game revenue increase 17.7% to $8.5 million.
Slots at Bally’s Tiverton increased 1.8% to $11.2 million, while table games were up 4.5% to $1.9 million.
