Daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks Monday announced a partnership with Epic Global Solutions.
In recognition of Responsible Gaming Education Month, PrizePicks will have access to educational training sessions featuring presentations from Epic’s roster of responsible gaming experts who will highlight signs of problem gaming, the need for responsible gaming measures, and prevention methods.
“At PrizePicks our aim is to set and continuously raise the standard for responsible gaming in the DFS space and we look forward to working with Epic to strengthen our internal RG resources,” said PrizePicks Senior Director of Responsible Gaming Phil Sherwood in a statement. “These educational training sessions will help create safer and more enjoyable experiences that will ultimately improve the gaming ecosystem.”
Epic also will conduct an organizational assessment to identify opportunities that strengthen responsible gaming throughout the organization. Findings will be used to inform actionable recommendations for PrizePicks’ responsible gaming strategy.
“We’re delighted to be working with PrizePicks to identify responsible gaming opportunities throughout the organization,” said Epic Global Solutions VP or Partnerships Teresa Fiore. “Our team of subject matter experts and researchers look forward to evaluating how these can be applied within PrizePicks, and trust that the workshops we’ll be delivering through facilitators with lived experience of gaming addiction will empower employees with insights into how their work can be used to mitigate harms.”
In June, PrizePicks struck a deal with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to offer clinical services for members at no initial cost, becoming the first gaming operator to do so globally. The program supports problem gaming prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts.
