Pennsylvania gaming revenue reaches $591 million in July, up 6%

Pennsylvania casinos generated $591 million in revenue in July, up 6% year-over-year, according to figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Grantsville led with revenue of $111.5 million, up 7.7%. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with revenue of $103.4 million, up 16.3%. Rivers Casino Philadelphia posted revenue of $59.9 million, up 4.2%.

Pennsylvania slot revenue in May reached $213.7 million, up 2.5%. Parx Casino led with $32 million, up 3.7%. Wind Creek Bethlehem posted $22.9 million, down 0.2%. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s slot revenue was $21 million, down 5.7%.

Pennsylvania generated $249 million in igaming revenue in July. Hollywood Casino at Penn National led with $75.1 million, up 10.9%. Valley Forge Casino Resort posted $70.1 million, up 14.9%, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported $40.8 million, up 7.1%.

Valley Forge Casino Resort generated sports betting revenue of $21.1 million from a handle of $167.1 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows brought in $14.4 million in revenue from a handle of $166 million. Hollywood Casino Morgantown’s revenue was $3.9 million from a handle of $36.7 million.

Tax revenue during July was $256.88 million.
