ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) – The board that will determine where new casinos are located in upstate New York is listening to presentations from developers for a second day.

The New York Gaming Facility Location Board is hearing two full days of in-person presentations from 16 casino applicants. Developers who want to build casinos in the Catskills and the Hudson Valley are giving presentations Tuesday in Albany.

The board heard Monday from developers who want to build casinos in the Albany area and the Southern Tier-Finger Lakes region. Applicants are using their 45-minute blocks to show promotional videos, run through economic and revenue statistics and argue why they deserve a casino license.

The state has authorized up to four casino licenses to be divided among the three regions. The siting board is expected to announce decisions soon.
