Everi Holdings Wednesday announced a $10,000 donation to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Boulder City, Nevada

The donation by the Las Vegas-based provider of land-based and digital casino gaming content and products will help St.  Jude’s build a first-of-its-kind program, the Healing Center, for the specialized care of child victims of sex trafficking.

“We aim to bring positive, lasting change to the communities in which we operate and like to support local organizations that are being innovative,” said Everi President and COO Randy Taylor in a statement. “Teaming with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children provides a direct impact in our community.”

Founded in 1966 by Father Jack Adam, an Episcopalian priest, the ranch was launched with the help of the Las Vegas entertainment community. A fundraiser in 1966 at the Riviera Hotel featuring Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Jack Benny and Shecky Greene raised more than $30,000 for the charity. Land for the ranch was donated by Boulder City, and nuns from the Sisters of Charity were enlisted to care for the children. The facility opened in 1967.

The mission of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s is to transform the lives of abused and at-risk children, young adults and families, by empowering them to create new choices and new hope in a caring community.

In addition to monetary gifts, Everi also collaborates with nonprofit organizations to provide other support and employee volunteers.
