Missouri casinos generated $171.4 million in revenue for August, down 3.5% year over year.
The Missouri Gaming Commission figures show that slots accounted for most of the combined total, generating $150.2 million, down 1%, while table games generated $21.1 million, down 17.7%.
Among the state’s 13 casinos, four recorded year-over-year revenue increases. Mark Twain increased 6.5% to $3.2 million, St. Jo Frontier was up 1.1% to $4.2 million, Isle of Capri Boonville was up 1% to $8.4 million, and Ameristar Kansas City was up 0.5% to $17.9 million.
Among the biggest revenue decreases were Horseshoe St. Louis, which dropped 8.5% to $14 million, Harrah’s Kansas City, which was down 7.4% to $14.9 million, Hollywood Casino, which decreased 6.5% to $22.2 million, and Bally’s Kansas City, which fell 5.3% to $10.7 million.
The biggest revenue generator for August was Ameristar St. Charles, which recorded $26.6 million, down 2.6%. Other big revenue generators included River City ($23.5 million), and Hollywood Casino ($22.2 million).
