Mississippi casinos generated $217.9 million in revenue for May, down 2.6% year-over-year.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission figures show that slots accounted for $181.1 million down 3.1%, while table games generated $29.8 million, up 4.3%. Retail sports betting was down 43.3% to $1.9 million.
Mississippi’s Coastal Region recorded the highest revenue for the month. Revenue rose 0.6% to $143.8 million. Slots generated $119.6 million, down 0.4%, and table games generated $22 million, up 10.8%.
The Northern Region reported $45.1 million, down 12.3%. Slots were down 13.6% to $35.8 million, and table games declined 15.5% to $5.5 million.
The Central Region reported a 0.8% drop to $28.9 million. Slots and table games increased by 1.2% and 4.1%, respectively.
