Today marks the closing of Caesars Entertainment’s acquisition of WynnBet’s Michigan operations. Caesars also disclosed a long-term extension of WynnBet’s contract to be the igaming provider for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
“Caesars will assume operations on the existing platform under the WynnBET brand with no anticipated interruption to the customer experience,” the Las Vegas casino giant said.
The site will eventually be rebranded, probably in the latter half of this year, pending approval by Michigan authorities. In addition to a new online brand, the operation will be ported over to Caesars’ existing igaming site in the state.
“Caesars Entertainment would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Michigan Gaming Control Board for their collaboration through this process,” said Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital.
