MGM Grand Detroit on Monday appointed Eric Sprague as Vice President of Table Games Operations. Sprague has more than 25 years of gaming industry experience and a track record of operational leadership.
Sprague will oversee all aspects of table games operations at MGM Grand Detroit, focusing on driving guest experiences, operational excellence, team member engagement, and regulatory compliance while supporting the property’s continued growth and success.
“Eric is a highly respected gaming professional whose extensive experience across table games and casino operations makes him an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” MGM Grand Detroit President & Chief Operating Officer Matt Buckley said in a statement. “His deep operational expertise, commitment to developing talent, and ability to deliver results will help strengthen our position as a leading gaming and entertainment destination.”
Sprague most recently served as MGM Springfield’s Casino Operations Vice President, where he provided strategic leadership for the property’s casino operations, including table games, slots, poker, and sportsbook. Prior to that, he served as Director of Casino Operations at MGM Springfield, leading performance initiatives across all gaming departments and collaborating closely with MGM Resorts’ Gaming Centers of Excellence to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Sprague’s career also includes leadership roles at Horseshoe Baltimore, where he was part of the property’s pre-opening team, and at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and The Venetian, two of the gaming industry’s most recognized brands. Throughout his career, Sprague has earned a reputation for building high-performing teams, optimizing casino operations, and consistently delivering exceptional guest service.
