Michigan: MGM Grand Detroit names Terry Briggs Vice President of Slot Operations

MGM Grand Detroit on Thursday named Terry Briggs Vice President of Slot Operations. Briggs has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming and entertainment industry.

Briggs will oversee slot operations and evaluate opportunities to further optimize the gaming floor in alignment with evolving business trends and guest preferences.

“Terry has an exceptional ability to elevate guest experiences while driving operational excellence,” MGM Grand Detroit President and Chief Operating Officer Matt Buckley said in a statement. “His depth of experience across gaming operations, combined with his commitment to developing strong teams, makes him an outstanding addition to MGM Grand Detroit. We are excited to welcome him and confident he will play a key role in helping to strengthen our position as a premier gaming and entertainment destination.”

According to a news release, Briggs has built a reputation for driving operational performance, enhancing guest experiences, and leading high-performing teams. Most recently, he served as Director of Slot Operations at Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Louisiana. Before that, Briggs held senior leadership positions at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms, California, and 1st Jackpot Casino in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi.
