Louisiana reached the end of its losing streak.
November gaming revenue in Louisiana reached $185.1 million, a year-over-year increase of 1.6%, according to figures this week released by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. The increase halts nine consecutive months of year-over-year declines in gaming revenue.
Retail sports betting revenue in Louisiana was $1.3 million in October on a handle of $33.5 million.
The Lake Charles district led Louisiana properties with gaming revenue of $68.5 million, an increase of 4.6% compared to November 2022. Golden Nugget Lake Charles led Charles properties with $25.5 million in gaming revenue, with L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles generating $23.6 million. Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel reported revenue of $11.8 million and Horseshoe Lake Charles generated $7.6 million.
Shreveport/Bossier district properties reported gaming revenue of $47.5 million, a year-over-year increase of 4.1%. Margaritaville Resort Casino had revenue of $16.9 million. Horseshoe Bossier City reported $11.5 million in gaming revenue and Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel generated $9.4 million.
Operators in the New Orleans district reported revenue of $42.6 million, a decline of 6.3% compared to November 2022. Harrah’s New Orleans generated revenue of $20.8 million, with Boomtown Casino & Hotel posting $9.8 million, and Treasure Chest Casino with $6.5 million.
Properties in the Baton Rouge district reported gaming revenue of $20.6 million, an increase of 3% over November 2022. L’Auberge Casino Hotel led the district with $13.5 million in gaming revenue and the Queen of Baton Rouge generated $6.4 million. The Belle of Baton Rouge reported revenue of $0.7 million.
Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in St. Landry Parish generated $6 million, a year-over-year increase of 1.6%.
