A Canadian who’s the creator and founder of Oklahoma-based LOTREC GAMES LLC is making a push to get his games distributed in the United States.
Classified as Class III games by the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), the table games may be played lawfully on Indian lands pursuant to a tribal-state compact, where players challenge the house with no skill involved.
The LOTREC games series has already been assessed by Gaming Laboratories International and meets the requirements of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
LOTREC GAMES are crafted for multiple commercial formats and are ready for marketing, according to the company website, which says they stand as “unique, electrified creations, breaking free from traditional table games.”
There are three games in the selection.
LOTREC 1 tables typically seat from one to seven players. A player may place inside or outside bets on the layout against the house. Finally, the dealer announces no more bets and draws four LOTREC cards onto the result space that will determine the winning result.
LOTREC 2 tables typically seat from one to six players. A player may place a bet against the house on their player space to be dealt a set of six LOTREC cards from the dealer. Finally, the dealer announces no more bets and rolls four LOTREC dice onto the half-circle result space that will determine the winning result.
LOTREC 3 tables typically seat from one to seven players. A player may place inside or outside bets on the layout against the house. Finally, the dealer announces no more bets and the dealer or the players rolls two six-sided
LOTREC dice onto the result circle that will determine the winning result.
As an independent gaming company that designs and develops original copyrighted and trademarked land-based and online casino game concepts Michael Lhotte said it has attracted interest from global manufacturers.
“The games combine fresh mechanics with a groundbreaking approach to traditional formats,” Lhotte said. “LOTREC GAMES are now awaiting launch in the U.S.”
LOTREC GAMES exhibited two booths at the Global Table Games and Game Protection Conference (GTGC/GGPC) in Las Vegas, following its first appearance with one booth at the International Casinos Exhibition (ICE) in London. Lhotte said he has also had a presence at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, attending several times as an invited guest of multiple manufacturers.
LOTREC GAMES has received proposals from casino gaming manufacturers in the U.S. for online and Electronic Table Games deployment, which have already been manufactured and ready to be shipped.
“I’m ready to launch and commercialize for the market,” Lhotte said. “There’s an urgent need for table games for novelties. The table game industry is in danger with a lot being removed from the floor because of a lack of novelty and traction. This game is waiting to be placed in casinos and refresh the floors.”
Lhotte said he based his company in Oklahoma which he called an “Indian gaming paradise” that is looking for new games and novelties and is in the process of setting up field trials.
“The games use new cards, new dice, new felt and new gaming mechanics,” Lhotte said. “It’s kind of revolutionary. There haven’t been any new table game concepts released in the U.S gaming industry. It’s about colors and shapes. It’s very easy. I created it as a kid and designed it and made it with a casino vibe. I’ve always been passionate about colors and shapes in design. When people see these tables, they are immediately drawn to ask where they can play these games.”
The casino industry has a mix of people, some who are conservative and want to stay with the same mix of games and others who are revolutionary and try something new, Lhotte said.
“There are people in the industry who are constantly looking for novelties that they want to place because they are aware of the urgent need,” Lhotte said. “Oklahoma is important for me because the tribes are very open to new games and allowed to place them.”
There are three games in the selection. The games can be played and dealer-trained online.
