It’s cold in Saskatchewan these days, which made the announcement that residents can now enjoy a live gaming experience without having to go outside all the more welcome.

SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority), the non-profit organization that operates seven casinos in the province (2,346 slot machines, 25 live table games, 78 electronic table games), launched Live Casino on the province’s PlayNow.com platform.

The only online way to bet legally in Saskatchewan now is via the PlayNow.com online gaming and sports betting website, or at kiosks using Western Canada Lottery Corporation’s Sport Select. The PlayNow.com platform, owned by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, is operated in Saskatchewan by SIGA, managed by SaskGaming and regulated by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. The site currently offers 500 casinos games and is the only legal single-game sports-betting platform in Saskatchewan.

“This Live Casino option online complements our existing casino properties for Saskatchewan residents’ enjoyment,” said SIGA President and CEO Zane Hansen, in a statement.

More specifically, through this platform, BCLC will offer the suite of Evolution’s live-games portfolio. A live table game offers the chance for players to sit in their own homes and play their favorite casino games. The experience is wholly immersive and players interact with real-time human dealers, creating an individualized igaming experience.

Live Casino is also offered in B.C. and Manitoba via PlayNow.com, as well as in Europe, and features 17 tables offering auto roulette, blackjack, baccarat, Baccarat eSqueeze, Dream Wheeler, Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Auto Roulette, and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em.

“With over 25 years of industry experience, SIGA is a trusted brand for gaming in the province,” said Hansen.

The site generates profits in Saskatchewan that support people across the province.

“Similar to our brick-and-mortar casinos, when residents play on the PlayNow.com site, net proceeds are reinvested back into Saskatchewan,” he said.
