Light & Wonder has announced a partnership with Loto-Québec to offer gamblers in that province a new cross-platform mystery progressive.
The progressive, called Super Cagnotte, uses Light & Wonder’s new cross-platform technology and can be found on Loto-Québec’s online-gaming portal and on COSMIC gaming machines on casino floors across the province.
“Cross-platform progressives represent an exciting new product feature designed to bridge the gap between land-based and online gaming platforms. Players can now engage with the same mystery progressive at the casino or on their mobile devices,” said Niaz Nejad, Managing Director, Americas – Gaming at Light & Wonder, in a statement.
The new feature connects the same progressive meter in both land-based gaming machines and on igaming platforms, creating a seamless, unified, betting experience on both gaming channels.
“We are convinced that this addition from Light & Wonder will please our customers, who already enjoy progressive jackpots and click-and-mortar experiences,” said François Hardy, Senior Director, Product and Innovation at Loto-Québec.
The progressive jackpot made its debut with the Rich Little Hens series.
Las Vegas-based Light & Wonder employs over 6,000 people. The company provides gambling product and services for land-based casino gaming, social and digital organizations worldwide.
Loto-Québec released their financial results for Q1 2024-25 fiscal year early in September, showing drops of $21.4 million (3.0 percent) in total revenues and $31.2 million (8.2 percent) in consolidated net incomes compared to Q1 2023-24.
