COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Ohio’s four casinos have generated more than $345 million in revenue this year, and that total will rise as state regulators release the figures for June.
The latest monthly report is due Tuesday from the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
The casinos brought in more than $71 million in May, which was up a bit from the previous month but slightly shy of the total from a year earlier.
Revenue increased from April to May at the casinos in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo but dropped slightly at the facility in Columbus.
About one-third of the revenue is collected in taxes and given mostly to counties, school districts and host cities.
