The World Series of Poker has announced its full summer schedule with an eye on having the largest Main Event field in history and, if it happens, awarding the poker promotion of a lifetime.

The 54th version of the world’s largest poker tournament runs May 30-July 18 at the recently rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas with 95 bracelet events. The No-Limit Hold ’em World Championship, known as “The Main Event,” will take place from July 3 to 17 and if it sets a record for entries, one entrant will be drawn at random to win a Main Event for Life package, buying him or her into the next 30 Main Events.

“With the momentum generated from the WSOP’s debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year, we expect a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2023,” Ty Stewart, senior vice president & executive director of the WSOP, said in a statement. “If the Main Event is on your bucket list, this is the year to get to Vegas.”

To shatter the Main Event record, the WSOP is guaranteeing 600 seats through GGPoker-affiliated poker sites, 112 in a special series on WSOP.com, and many more in “Main Event Mania” at several casinos around the world May 20-21.

Other highlights of the schedule include a new $300 Gladiators of Poker event, the lowest buy-in ever for a WSOP event, the renamed $1,000 buy-in Mystery Millions with a guaranteed $1,000,000 bounty, and moving the $1 million freeroll Tournament of the Champions to early in the schedule.

The series will have the most capacity in history, with 608 tables in more than 200,000 square feet of convention space. CBS Sports returns as the event’s broadcast partner, with PokerGO back providing daily streaming.
