Las Vegas airport records 8.3% drop in passenger count in May

The Las Vegas Airport reported that the May passenger count fell 8.3%.

Harry Reid International Airport had 4.57 million passengers, down from 4.98 million in May 2025. For the year, the passenger count is down 6.2%.

Domestic travel fell 8.6% in May. International passenger counts fell 5.7% last month. For the year, the foreign travel count is down nearly 13%.

Canadian travel continues to take a hit, with Porter Airlines down 40.8% year-over-year in May. Westjet’s passenger count fell 20% last month. Air Canada rose 2%.

European air carrier British Airways fell 13%.

Volaris, the Mexican airline, saw its passenger count rise 37%.

Tourism officials and the Gaming Control Board are expected to release visitation and gaming numbers on Monday or Tuesday.
