Kansas casinos generated $36.7 million in revenue for August, down 1.8% year over year.
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission figures show that slots accounted for the most of the combined total, generating $32.4 million, down 2.7%, while table games generated $4.3 million, up 6.2%.
Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway recorded the highest revenue for the month, posting $14.9 million, down 1.4% year-over-year from $15.1 million. Slots at the casino were up 0.3% to $13.5 million, and table games dropped 15.1% to $1.4 million.
Kansas Star Casino reported the second-highest revenue for August, remaining stable with $14.6 million. Slots were down 3.9% to $12.4 million, and table games increased 27.5% to $2.2 million.
Boot Hill Casino posted the largest year-over-year revenue decline of the four casinos, down 5.6% to $3.9 million. Slots dropped 8.4% to $3.4 million, and table games were up 16.3% to $530,977.
Kansas Crossing Casino was down 5.3% year-over-year to $3.3 million, with slots falling 4.4% to $3.1 million and table games down 15.8% to $217,524.
