J&J Gaming Thursday announced the acquisition of Midwest Amusements, a multi-state operator that manages more than 420 gaming devices across 101 locations in Nebraska, Iowa, and Wyoming.
Since its founding in 2019 by Matthew Philippsen and Maya Shannon, Midwest Amusements has been known for its expertise in the convenience store and truck stop market.
“This acquisition represents another key step in J&J Gaming’s growth strategy as we strengthen our presence across Nebraska and the Midwest,” J&J Gaming CEO Bob Willenborg said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome their team and partners into the J&J family as we continue to expand our footprint and deliver industry-leading solutions across the country.”
J&J Gaming operates regulated gaming devices in restaurants, bars, taverns, convenience stores, truck stops and other authorized venues. The addition of Midwest Amusements will result in a platform that has more than 32,200 gaming devices in 4,200 locations across seven jurisdictions.
“Since 2019, our focus at Midwest Amusements has been to deliver innovative games and exceptional service to our partners,” Philippsen said. “J&J Gaming shares that same reputation for excellence and customer care, making this a natural fit.”
