Gaming industry veteran Gavin Isaacs was added to the board of advisors for PureSoftware, a technology company looking to make inroads into the casino sector, it was announced Tuesday.
Isaacs, who has been the CEO of two major gaming equipment providers and a top executive with two slot machine companies, is currently the chairman of SBTech, a sports betting technology company.
SBTech is being acquired by DraftKings as part of the sports betting operator’s reverse merger with Diamond Eagle Acquisition, a blank check procurement company. Isaacs said he expects to join DraftKings’ newly-created board of directors when the company goes public.
PureSoftware says it offers various “next generation disruptive technologies.” Its primary product is being used in financial technology platforms, including digital banking and digital wallets.
Isaacs said in a statement that PureSoftware has “years of capabilities in providing robust and innovative gaming solutions.” He added that “traditional outsourcing models do not create value as expected.” He believes PureSoftware “is both unique and immediately enhances productivity, hence creating great value for money.”
Based in Las Vegas, Isaacs’ gaming industry career spans three decades. In addition to his role with SBTech, Isaacs is a director with table game provider Galaxy Gaming. He spent four years as CEO and vice chairman of Scientific Games and was CEO of SHFL Entertainment, which was acquired by Bally Technologies. He also held executive roles with Bally and Aristocrat Technologies.
“Gavin is a highly accomplished, and respected professional who has built incredible expertise by leading a wide gamut of lottery and casino gaming companies across the globe”, said PureSoftware founder Anil Baid.
He said the company plans to acquire new customers, establish a leadership position, and enhance its services portfolio for manufacturers and casinos.
