Indiana casino revenue rises 4% year-over-year in May

Commercial casinos in Indiana combined to produce $219.5 million in adjusted gross receipts during May, up 4% from the previous year’s $211 million.

Figures published by the Indiana Gaming Commission revealed that of the state’s 13 regulated casinos, Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana generated the highest AGR of the month – $38.4 million, up 3.6% from $37 million in May 2024.

Horseshoe Indianapolis generated $31.3 million, up 12.7% from $27.7 million. Horseshoe Hammond was the third top AGR reporter, recording an AGR of $23.8 million, a 14.5% year-over-year rise from $20.8 million.

Only four casinos reported year-over-year AGR declines in May, Ameristar Casino reported the highest AGR decline, down 13.1% from $14.6 million to $12.7 million.

Belterra Casino declined 3.6% from $7.1 million to $6.8 million. Blue Chip Casino dropped 6% from $10.7 million to $10 million, and French Link Resort fell 10.3% from $6.9 million to $6.2 million.

Most of May’s total AGR came from slot games, which generated $183.2 million, up 3.6% from last year’s $176.9 million. Table games produced $39.3 million, up 3% from $38.2 million.
