Illinois casino revenue up 18.7% year-over-year in April

Illinois’ 17 casinos reported $162.6 million in adjusted gross receipts last month, a year-over-year increase of 18.7% compared to the previous year’s $136.9 million.

The Illinois Gaming Board reported in its casino summary report that of the AGR, electronic gaming devices made up $122 million, rising from $104 million, a 17.3% year-over-year increase. Table games produced $40.5 million in AGR, an increase of 22.8%, rising from $32.9 million recorded last year.

Five casinos reported AGR above $10 million – Bally’s Chicago ($11 million), Grand Victoria Casino ($12.6 million), Hard Rock Casino Rockford ($11.8 million), Rivers Casino ($43.8 million) and Wind Creek ($17.1 million).

Each of those casinos reported year-over-year increases for April, apart from Wind Creek, which opened in November, with Hard Rock Casino Rockford having the most significant rise in AGR, rising from $6.2 million to $11.8 million, a yearly increase of 89.8%.
