Hard Rock International, which boasts the world’s largest collection of rock-n-roll memorabilia, has transported valuable items that were displayed on the walls of the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel-Casino to an unknown location.

The Hard Rock Las Vegas was sold to Virgin Hotels in March 2018, then shut down last February for extensive remodeling and branding for a planned reopening this November.

The memorabilia that Hard Rock International is moving reportedly fills five 40-foot tractor-trailers and include some of “iconic brand’s most prized, authentic, music memorabilia that adorned the walls of the now-closed Hard Rock”:

  • Elvis Presley’s Key to the City of Las Vegas
  • Britney Spears’ schoolgirl outfit from her “… Baby One More Time” video
  • Jimi Hendrix’s jacket worn on the day of his death
  • Prince’s cloud guitar and stage outfit
  • Johnny Cash’s autographed and inscribed Martin guitar
  • Trent Reznor’s autographed synth
  • Nikki Sixx’s motorcycle

Last month, Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, acquired the exclusive full rights to the name Hard Rock Hotel-Casino Las Vegas, along with memorabilia, signage and merchandise, intellectual-property rights for affiliated restaurant and entertainment trademarks, and website domain names. The transaction also enables Hard Rock International to develop and operate a Hard Rock-branded casino and integrated resort in southern Nevada.

Hard Rock International owns and operates a Hard Rock Café Las Vegas across from New York-New York on the Las Vegas Strip.
