Green Valley Ranch in Henderson has followed the model of fellow Station Casinos’ Red Rock Casino Resort and Durango Casino & Resort by opening a high-limit slot area separate from its high-limit table-game room.

Formerly, Green Valley Ranch had a combined high-limit table and slot area, but the tables were shifted to the property’s closed buffet space that was remodeled and reopened in November. The previously combined room that was converted into a high-limit slot area opened Feb. 16 and is now part of a trend of enhancing luxury play offerings in Red Rock Resorts’s Las Vegas casinos. Red Rock Casino Resort debuted its new high table-game room in May 2022.

The new high-limit slot room at Green Valley Ranch, located adjacent to Drop Bar, features 127 of the latest games, a bar with 14 bartop games, a dedicated cage, and a bright airy vibe, according to a description from Green Valley Ranch. An LED-lit archway leads guests to the marble-clad bar; coffered ceilings and brass accents offer an elevated touch.

The new high-limit table-game room features 10 tables, including single-zero roulette, double-deck blackjack, six deck shoe (dealers stands on soft 17), and midi baccarat for high-stakes wagering.

The bar area has 10 bartop games and a classic cocktail menu. The space provides three salon gaming rooms with select games offering an intimate atmosphere, according to the resort.

“We expanded from five tables to ten, plus three salons, and went from 98 to 127 slots, including changing the bar from seven bartop units to 14,” said Ken Janssen, vice president and general manager of Green Valley Ranch. “It was really about hearing the feedback from our players and offering more high limit.”

Walls have been removed to open the area, Janssen said.

It’s similar to Red Rock Casino, where the table games are now part of the buffet area and the slot area received an upgrade.

“We’ve seen the success of the Red Rock model and deemed it was the right time to do it,” Janssen said. “Through the first 90 days with table games and the first four days with slots, it’s already been well received.”

Before the opening, Green Valley Ranch repurposed a former poker area for high-limit slots during the six months construction was underway, Janssen said. “We moved all those games over and will look for our next opportunity there.”

Later this spring, Green Valley Ranch will continue to unveil new offerings and upgraded amenities, including Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill and Ortikia Mediterranean Grill.
