Focus on CasinoTrac: KioskTrac evolves into an engagement tool that moves with the player

The most revealing insight into the evolution of KioskTrac, one year shy of three decades since its release, was expressed by Randy Gilbert, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer CasinoTrac, saying “KioskTrac is no longer just about being a kiosk.”

“Through integration with CasinoTrac, PlayerLINQ, and KTMobile, it now provides a connected engagement experience that spans kiosks, gaming devices, loyalty programs, and mobile technology,” Gilbert explained.

Looking back on KioskTrac’s introduction to the global gaming industry in 1997, Gilbert has an appreciation of just how a simple self-service players club kiosk evolved into a complete player engagement platform.

“What started as a way for players to check balances and access offers has grown into a system that helps casinos deliver promotions, rewards, contests, drawings, premium games, and personalized marketing experiences across the property,” he said.

The KioskTrac experience was enhanced dramatically with the development of the KTMobile app, a fully customized mobile rewards application that leverages the convenience of the player rewards kiosk with the power of touchless transactions on the player’s smartphone.

Gilbert said that KTMobile extends the KioskTrac experience directly into the palm of the player’s hand, essentially removing the need for engagement to begin and end at the kiosk. It enables players to access promotions, rewards, and loyalty experiences wherever they are.

“For operators, it gives them more opportunities to connect with guests both on and off property,” he explained. “It reduces friction, increases engagement opportunities, and strengthens long-term player relationships.

“For players, it creates a more convenient and accessible experience, essentially transforming KioskTrac from a destination on the casino floor into an ongoing relationship with the player.”

KTMobile utilizes CasinoTrac’s patented digital currency transfer solution to bring full cashless functionality throughout the property. Promotional and cash credits move seamlessly from the player’s account to slot machines, table games, restaurants, and any other point of sale using the digital player card.

Looking back upon its history and the impact it wielded upon the gaming industry, Gilbert said that fundamentally “KioskTrac helped change the way casinos think about kiosks.”

“What was once primarily a transactional device became a player engagement tool that combined loyalty, promotions, rewards, contests, and entertainment in a single platform,” he said.

“By giving operators new ways to interact with guests and allowing players to engage with the property on their own terms, KioskTrac helped move the industry toward self-service engagement.

“Today, that same vision continues through integration with gaming devices, promotional technology, and mobile experiences, creating a connected platform that helps casinos build stronger player relationships and drive long-term loyalty.

G2E 2026 was an opportunity for Gilbert and the CasinoTrac team to showcase the next chapter of KisokTrac, a connected player engagement platform that extends well beyond the physical kiosk.

“The focus is creating a seamless experience across the entire player journey, whether a guest is at a kiosk, on the casino floor, or interacting through their mobile device,” Gilbert said. “Demonstrations highlighted expanded promotional capabilities, immersive player experiences, deeper integration with KTMobile, and new ways for operators to engage guests.

“The future is not about putting more features into a kiosk. It is about giving casinos the ability to connect with players wherever and whenever it makes sense.”
