Casino Essentials, which has provided gaming-specific online job training since 2008, soon will become known as Vector Solutions.

The San Diego-based firm is among 18 online learning brands adopting their parent company’s name in a transition expected to be completed by spring 2021.

Vector Solutions, founded in 1999 and based in Tampa, Fla., specializes in online training that focuses on the specific needs of industries including public safety, education, architecture/engineering/construction, manufacturing, and information technology, in addition to gaming. It also provides training in human resources and job performance enhancement.

The name change “reflects Vector’s mission to serve everyday heroes by delivering intelligent software solutions that empower them to make safer, smarter, better decisions,” Vector Solutions CEO Marc Scheipe said in a statement announcing the move. Customers are not expected to experience any service changes or disruption during the changeover. The company will maintain its focus on industry-specific training.

Vector acquired Casino Essentials in 2018, a decade after Casino Essentials started with a focus on training casino employees in anti-money laundering regulations and additional Title 31 requirements as well as other facets of the gaming industry.

Online training for businesses was relatively new at the time, and casinos were attracted by its around-the-clock availability and the company’s focus on their industry, a Casino Essentials spokesman said.

Over the years, Casino Essentials branched out to live events, including an annual Cage Operations Conference and Expo, a Title 31 Bootcamp, and an AML Conference and Expo. It provided complimentary COVID-safety training earlier this year. Next year’s AML conference is scheduled for Aug. 9-12 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Bringing all Vector brands under one name will allow organizations and individuals to take advantage of the company’s suite of specialized integrated learning and performance aids, the company said.

For example, tribes that operate casinos in addition to providing public services such as fire protection, education, and health programs could easily access training concentrated on those topics.

With the changes, Vector also will focus training and performance aids on four areas: learning, operational readiness; workforce management; and risk management. The company said that will help users better manage and report training, credentials, incidents, hazards, schedules, and shifts.

In addition to Casino Essentials, these brands will adopt the Vector Solutions name:

  • RedVector
  • Convergence Training
  • TargetSolutions
  • SafeSchools
  • IndustrySafe
  • CrewSense
  • SafeColleges
  • Exceptional Child
  • TeachPoint

The company also will redesign its website and logo.

In addition to its online training and continuing education courses, Vector provides workforce scheduling and safety management. It has more than 19,000 clients and 14 million users worldwide.
