Players taking a seat at the new Glō UR43 from AGS are in store for a truly immersive experience – and the company’s new games will only add to the fun. The product is the first in the Glō lineup and the newest cabinet launch since the Spectra UR43 made its market debut in 2023.

The Glō UR43 was announced to the market on Aug. 27 and debuted at this year’s G2E, along with three new titles. The Glō design focuses on improved graphics, sound, animation, lighting, player comfort, and service accessibility.

“We’re excited to debut the Glō lineup, starting with the UR43,” Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Operations Loren Rosenberg said. “Since the Spectra cabinet launched there have been incredible tech advancements, and I think one of the most important pieces while thinking about designing a new cabinet is player preferences. The hardware is the first thing the player encounters, and it acts as the ultimate canvas in terms of displaying this immersive content to the player.

“The forefront of any hardware we develop really starts with the games underneath it, and how we deliver that gaming experience the player wants. How do we heighten the graphics, sound, animations, and give them that ultimate comfortable play experience? How do we utilize light and sound to just enhance the experience overall?”

Glō UR43 connects those dots and packs a massive punch in computing power. The cabinet takes the best of AGS’ Spectra knowledge and experience, adding emerging technologies, Rosenberg says. What can players expect? Here are some of the key features:

  • Large 27-inch topper screen
  • Vivid 43-inch 4K UHD display
  • 16 individually-controlled lighting zones taking on the personality of each game title
  • Ergonomic button deck with a crisp, 21-inch display and integrated wireless phone charging
  • Asymmetrical silhouette designed to reflect and amplify light
  • Warm metallic finish that stands apart from traditional dark hardware

Customers scored a sneak peek in pre-G2E meetings and the response was described as phenomenal, with available shipments selling out.

“Operators are really embracing the new hardware design and its accessibility,” Rosenberg says. “It has received great early buzz. We’re confident it’s going to be a momentum driver.”

Slot title expansion
Along with debuting Glō UR43 at G2E, attendees got a look at several of the company’s new games featured on the cabinet. Titles include additions to the Rakin’ Bacon! franchise, which has spawned 15 different versions and 20,000 games shipped out in North America alone.

Games available included: Rakin’ Bacon! 5 Prosperity Pots and Rakin’ Bacon! Ultra, with its two different themes), Rakin’ Bacon! Squeallionaire and Rakin’ Bacon! Bankrollers. The Rakin’ Bacon! Ultra family, exclusive to Glō UR43, features a comical stack of 5 pig characters that fly into the screen when triggered. The different-sized pig characters, represented by Cornsquealius, each highlight a unique feature of the game.

The new Rakin’ Bacon! offerings allow AGS to build on a popular brand that’s built solely in-house rather than licensing other intellectual property.

“Rakin’ Bacon! made its original debut in 2018, and from there became synonymous with the piggy bank slot in the industry,” Rosenberg says. “A lot of competitors have done other piggy bank-style games, but Rakin’ Bacon! is one of – if not the most – recognizable pigs IP in the gaming space.”

While many other IPs in the industry are tied to a particular mechanic or play style, Rosenberg touted the versatility and stand-out nature of the Rakin’ Bacon! brand.

“We’ve shown through those 15 releases to date, and these additional releases at G2E, that the team took into account the stylistic choices and the play mechanics around the legacy of the brand. It’s our belief that Rakin’ Bacon! is not only an iconic brand in the industry, but also one of the most versatile brands. We’re really leaning into it, and we’re excited to launch this new cabinet with it.”

The Glō slot menu expands further with Roaring Express, a train-themed game packed with bonus features. The two titles – Tiger General and Empress Warrior – each feature three Hold & Win-style bonuses, including the Hold & Win Bonus, where landing six cash-on-reels triggers the bonus, while filling all 15 spots awards the grand jackpot.

The third family debuting on Glō is Hu Bao Bei featuring Tiger Bloom and Tiger Riches launch titles. Inspired by the popular Fortune Frenzy franchise, the games are designed around interconnected bonus features and exciting chain reactions, including collection pots of gold coins that can trigger free spins with enhancements.

Overall, the company debuted 50 new titles at G2E and Rosenberg is excited about the momentum AGS is seeing with the product lines.

“Our lineup is very robust, with a lot of diversity of content, as well as a good amount of brand extensions from proven games including Lion Cash, Pinata Pays, and Fortune Frenzy,” he says. “About 50% of our floor is brand extensions of IP that we’ve already established with players, and that other 50% are new original IP that we’re going to be debuting to markets.

“We’re excited to keep showcasing the breadth, depth and value of our portfolio to both operators and players alike.”
