Two Eureka Casino Resorts sites have raised funds for American Red Cross relief efforts in Maui, Hawaii. The operator’s properties in Mesquite, Nevada and Seabrook, New Hampshire, have contributed $30,000 to help those devastated by fires in Maui.
“The recent fires in Maui have had a devastating impact, and our core values guide us to contribute to these essential efforts and provide relief and assistance,” said Eureka Casino Resort CEO Andre Carrier in a statement. “Again and again, we have watched our communities come together in times of need, and we’re deeply grateful to our guests and employee owners who embraced this cause with open hearts.”
At The Brook in New Hampshire, employees wore aloha shirts during a concert by Hawaiian recording artist and musician Fia. The Brook provided a 100% match for each donation and also pledged an additional $100 for every attendee, collecting approximately $10,000.
A Hawaiian buffet at the Mesquite resort brought in $20,000, with guests pledging $25 to dine on a Hawaiian buffet, and the resort matching each donation.
“The role of our 100% employee-owned company is often to be a conduit to bring attention to essential needs and then provide innovative ways for people to share their time, talent and treasure,” Carrier said. “This effort for the people of Maui highlights the strong desire and capability of our community to make a difference.”
