UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — The Mohegan Sun Casino is trying to set a world record with its slot machines.
The casino and machine-maker Bally are hosting a slot tournament Saturday, hoping to link up more than 5,000 machines at the same time.
Bally’s officials say there will be representatives from Guinness World Records on hand to determine whether the casino sets a record for the world’s largest slot tournament and most slot machines running the same game simultaneously.
The previous record was set at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., which had 2,885 players competing in a slot tournament there in February, 2012
