Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, on Wednesday announced it has extended a naming rights agreement for Pechanga Arena San Diego until December 2026.
Pechanga Resort Casino partnered with the Pechanga Arena in a naming rights deal in 2018.
The partnership allows the resort and casino to provide its guests access to shows and events at the arena. The organizations also have continued their commitment to serving the region by collaborating on food and toy drives for those in need and Red Cross blood drives
“The Pechanga Arena partnership isn’t just about a logo on a building – it’s about continuing our commitment to serving one of California’s most dynamic markets,” Pechanga Development Corporation President Sean Vasquez said in a statement. “The ROI on this investment extends beyond brand exposure; this venue hosts over 130 events annually, creating unparalleled touchpoints with demographics that directly align with our growth strategy. We’re doubling down on what works, while strengthening our position as the premier entertainment brand in Southern California.”
Since opening in 1966, Pechanga Arena has hosted entertainment, concerts and family shows, and served as the home arena for the San Diego Gulls and San Diego Seals. Originally known as the San Diego Sports Arena, it is a central hub for entertainment in the region. It is ranked 18th in worldwide arenas (10,001-15,000 capacity) with $29.1 million in gross sales and 277,000 tickets sold in 2024, according to Billboard.
“We’re proud to say that, with this extension, Pechanga Resort Casino becomes the venue’s longest-serving naming rights partner,” said Pechanga Arena San Diego General Manager Ryan Golden. “These agreements provide more than just branding and exposure for our partners. They represent true partnerships built on mutual support and a shared commitment to community and excellence.”
In August 2024, Midway Rising assumed control of the lease for Pechanga Arena in agreement with the City of San Diego.
