The Morongo Band of Mission Indians in Cabazon, California, this week announced two appointments. Jason Carrizosa was introduced as Morongo Tribal Government Chief Administrative Officer, and Christopher Reyes was named Executive Director of the Morongo Gaming Agency.
“Morongo is excited to be promoting Jason Carrizosa and Christopher Reyes, whose combined expertise, unmatched innovation and demonstrated leadership skills will help ensure the continued success of our Tribal government and our gaming operations,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin in a statement.
Carrizosa will be in charge of Morongo Tribal departments including public safety, environmental protection, and public works. He has been a member of the Morongo Fire Department for 17 years and was named fire chief in 2021. Carrizosa helped launch Morongo’s ground and air ambulance program that provides life-saving critical care on the reservation and across the San Gorgonio Pass.
Reyes has more than 25 years of experience with the Morongo Gaming Agency, and 40 years in casino regulation and gaming operations. In his new role, Reyes will oversee the regulatory authority for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and its gaming operations.
