White Earth Nation officials are scheduled to provide the Clay County Board of Commissioners an update Tuesday on the status of the proposed Moorhead casino project, which has been on hold since August amid a tribal leadership review.

According to the meeting agenda, White Earth Nation Chairman Michael Fairbanks, Tribal Utilities Commission Executive Director Nate Mathew, and Land Acquisition Manager Jacob Syverson are scheduled to present a 20-minute update to the board. The presentation is expected to cover the federal fee-to-trust process, anticipated timelines, work accomplished or currently underway, and the concept of a cooperative aid agreement committee. Officials will also take questions from commissioners.
