Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack has reopened to the public after the temporary closure because of flooding of the Ohio River.
The casino resumed operations on Sunday at 4 pm, offering limited gaming and dining options.
The recent flooding forced the closure of the property on April 3, but after diligent efforts and support from emergency responders and team members, Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack says it is ready to welcome guests back.
“We are excited to reopen and welcome back our valued guests,” said General Manager Kim Florence. “The past few days have been challenging, but thanks to the dedication of our team and the support of emergency services, we are ready to resume operations.”
