Developers behind a casino bid in Times Square spoke at a public hearing on the proposal on Wednesday.
The developers say the casino would create some 3,800 permanent jobs. It also includes a five-star hotel, a rooftop park and more.
However, not everyone is excited about the project. Members of the theater community and several local nonprofit groups have banded together to create the “No Times Square Casino Coalition.”
They say the casino will bring crime, congestion and chaos to the neighborhood.
