Sports betting and prediction market operator Underdog has sued Tennessee after receiving a cease-and-desist letter last week from state regulators ordering it to cease prediction market activity in the state.
According to The Tennessee Journal, the suit was filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville and targets state attorney general Jonathan Skrmetti and members of the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council.
Tennessee is the seventh state in which Underdog has sued following tightened restrictions on prediction markets from some states. Last month, the operator had sued state regulators in Massachusetts, New Mexico, Washington, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Ohio.
