The first legal sports bets in Nebraska will have to wait a little longer.
WarHorse Gaming was hoping to have the sports betting kiosks and terminals open at its Lincoln location ahead of Memorial Day weekend, but the casino said it’s waiting on vendors to turn in license applications to state regulators.
“Sports betting, as you know, is a relatively new industry in the United States. And there are many jurisdictions trying to go live at the same time — we’re just one of quite a few that are trying to go live…” Lynne McNally, executive VP of Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, said.
