Paraguay’s slot and online gambling operators have formed their first formal trade body. In the final week of May, more than twenty operators of slot machines and online platforms constituted the Paraguayan Chamber of Electronic Games of Chance, known by its Spanish acronym CAJEPY, with a Board composed of Raúl Caviedes as president, Miguel Báez as secretary and Emilio Módica as treasurer.
The chamber’s legal representative is Javier Rodrigo Balbuena Estigarribia. Between 25 and 27 May, the new body presented itself to the National Commission for Games of Chance (Conajzar) and met its interim president, Roxana Carolina Del Río.
CAJEPY is the first piece of industry self-organization to emerge under the framework introduced by Law 7438/2025, which President Santiago Peña enacted on 3 January last year to revise Paraguay’s gambling regime.
