From the moment it opened its doors in April, and became the first New York City casino with table games, Resorts World NYC in Queens has been New York state’s top casino in terms of revenue.
No surprise there — the Genting property on what used to be Aqueduct Racetrack is the only full-fledged New York casino in a major population center, and its direct competitors, Metropolitan Park in Queens and a Bally’s casino in the Bronx, are not expected to arrive until 2030.
In the meantime, the data published by the New York State Gaming Commission provides a glimpse at how gambling action is progressing while Resorts World remains the only game in town.
