Polymarket, a popular prediction market platform, is rolling out new consumer protections as lawmakers seek to tighten regulation.
The prediction market announced Wednesday that it would let users set deposit limits, voluntarily exclude themselves from the platform and access mental health resources for those experiencing compulsive trading behaviors.
Polymarket said it was launching a Trust & Safety Center, where customers can learn more about the prediction market’s rules and safeguards.
“People should be able to set their own limits, step away on their own terms, and know what the rules are,” Malea Otranto, the global head of the prediction market’s Trust and Safety Center, said in a news release. “That is what launched today, and it is the floor, not the ceiling. We’re excited to continue to build out from here.”
