A potential class-action lawsuit against Mount Airy Casino Resort in Monroe County claims it failed to pay over $5 million in wages and overtime to hundreds of table games dealers by pooling their tips and sharing them with supervisors, rounding work hours on time clocks and miscalculating overtime.

Filed Feb. 7 in U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the lawsuit claims the casino in Paradise Twp. violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the state Wage Payment and Collection Law.

Plaintiffs Jennifer Mak of Cresco and William Neidig of Whitehall, who are former casino employees, filed the “class and collective action complaint” individually and on behalf of others similarly situated.
