Pennsylvania casinos employed 598 fewer people at the end of fiscal year 2025–26 than a year earlier, while spending with local businesses also fell.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s annual diversity report puts the statewide casino workforce at 15,242 as of June 30. That is a 3.8% decline from the 15,840 workers reported a year earlier.
Pennsylvania’s retail casinos spent about $753 million through outside businesses during the fiscal year, a nearly 10% decline. Approximately 31% of that spending went to suppliers in the counties where casinos operate or in neighboring counties.
The report counted 13,786 state residents among the workforce, keeping their share at approximately 90%, unchanged from the previous year.
Employment changes varied by property. Parx Casino reported 128 fewer employees than a year earlier, while Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s workforce declined by 79.
