A Sudbury businessman is confident he can open a new private casino, hotel and 8,000-seat concert hall and theatre by 2030-31 beside the Silver Hills complex off The Kingsway.
“For clarity, this project is very real and has been in development for many years,” Daniel Abdel-Nour said in an email to The Sudbury Star. “First envisioned in 2005, it reflects a long-term vision to establish Sudbury as a hub for entertainment, sports, and events in Northern Ontario.
“The goal is to create a flexible, multi-use venue that can host experiences and opportunities that are not currently available in the region, benefiting both residents and visitors alike.”
