Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department says an officer-involved shooting left a suspect dead near Winstar Casino in Thackervile, Okla.
An initial call requested a wellness check on a suicidal person close to 12:15 p.m. Thursday, who was near Winstar Casino at the time.
Officers responded to the call and made contact with the person outside the casino. During the encounter, an officer-involved shooting occurred officials say.
No officers were injured during the incident according to authorities. OSBI in conjunction with the department are working to gather details of what led up to the shooting.
