Dozens of illegal slot machines were seized during an illegal gambling probe at a business in Highland County, according to the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission announced a search warrant was served at an unnamed business on State Route 753 as part of an illegal gambling investigation. It came after they received several complaints about illegal machines.
“We appreciate the Highland County Sheriff’s Office partnering with the OCCC to ensure an effective operation that shut down this illegal gambling site,” said Ohio Casino Control Commission Interim Executive Director Andromeda Morrison.
“Our enforcement efforts remain exceptionally thorough and strategically focused, as it has been consistently demonstrated that illegal gambling harms communities, undermines public safety, and negatively impacts the Ohioans who live in them,” Morrison said. “We will continue collaborating with our law enforcement partners to uphold the integrity of gaming in Ohio and protect residents from the risks associated with unlawful activity.”
